Hoth Attack (75138-1) is a compact but impressively detailed battle scene set from the Star Wars theme, released in 2016 to recreate the iconic ground assault on Echo Base from The Empire Strikes Back. Despite its modest piece count of 233 elements, the set punches well above its weight in terms of play features and display potential, making it one of the more underrated entries in the Hoth sub-theme lineup. The build centers on a chunky, poseable Imperial AT-AT walker rendered in classic LEGO System style, accompanied by a Rebel defensive turret installation. The AT-AT captures the lumbering, mechanical menace of its on-screen counterpart with articulated legs and a movable head, while the turret adds a secondary interactive element that gives the scene genuine battlefield tension. The set also includes printed elements and a selection of weapons and accessories that reinforce the authentic Star Wars aesthetic LEGO has refined over decades of licensing. With zero minifigures included, this set is a somewhat unusual proposition, functioning more as a scenic diorama component or army-building supplement than a standalone character-driven experience. It pairs exceptionally well with larger Hoth sets like the UCS AT-AT or the Hoth Echo Base sets, allowing collectors to populate and expand their Battle of Hoth displays with additional ground-level detail.
